A single communication link between two or more nodes may be shown as having a fixed width such as a finite block size. However, the bandwidth used in each packet or the length of each link may be varied to achieve different content characteristics.

Various embodiments, discussed above, may represent a base station component which is capable of transmitting, or one or more portions of, a particular portion of a transmission. The base station component may include one or more separate modules which may be coupled together to form a general purpose unit. The general purpose unit may include, but is not limited to, an FEA or a blowpipe, which are typically referred to as an autopiloted helicopter. A blowpipe, depending on its function, may have a range of a few hundred feet to several thousand feet, a speed in excess of Mach 2, and be powered by either diesel, gasoline, or liquefied natural gas.

Though have been viewed by the market as highly capable and cost-effective aircraft, blowpipes are overrated. Blowpipes are essentially high-speed propellers attached to specialized framework that are heavier than traditional propellers. Many naval aviators had observed, however, that the aircraft had a flying "shock" at speeds over 30 knots. The shock acted to deform the sides of the flywheels, which caused the prop to lock in the main fin. Often, the motorized wings were pushed away from the propellers, causing the vehicle to sink as it raced through.
